Apple is cutting its orders for the new iPhone 5c because of weak demand. Last month Apple released the iPhone 5c for a lower price than the higher priced iPhone 5s. The 5c doesn't have the new cool features that the 5s has such as the fingerprint scanner and the upgraded camera, but it still only costs $100 less than the 5s. in other countries they have to pay the full price of the phone, in China they have to pay $800 for the 5s and $750 for the 5c.

The good news for Apple though is  that the 5s sold more than they were expecting which will carry them through the next few quarters. Apple's phones are obviously not competitive in the low cost smartphone universe but that's alright with their executives because it gives them more capacity to create the most profitable iPhone.
