How a Movie Made a Lot out of Nothing

Don't Let Go

One of the most recent films that I went to see this month was the movie Gravity. At first I was very skeptical about this movie and thought that there was no way a director could make a full length movie about a woman getting stuck in space. Oh, how I as wrong. There wasn't a second of the film that i found to be dull or to drag on. The way that the director made the film was a work of art. There are not many who would be able to create such a thrill-ride of a movie with so little plot. Don't get me wrong, although the plot its self sounds boring if you look at it from the outside; the reality of it is much, much sweeter. There is also the fact at the performances in this movie.I was never much of a Sandra Bullock fan, who plays the main character, but this movie changed that (or at least for the time being). The main character is so easy to believe and Bullock really brings the character to life. George Clooney is also just as spectacular as Bullock is in this movie. One could almost say their performances are out of this world.
Another aspect of the film that makes it great is how believable it is. The realism that the director brings to the table is spectacular. One could almost see themselves in the astronauts shoes, or boots in this case. Everything from the emotions that the characters go through to the wreckage; its all so well done and the fact that its all done with just the premise of people being stuck is space just amazes me. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes to be on the edge of their seat.
