Yes Riddick fans can rejoice. Riddick is back and tougher than ever. Vin Diesel stars in this Sci-fi film about an antihero who was betryayed by the Necromongers, who he was previously the Lord Marshall of.
Desperate to find out what happened to his home planet of Furya, Riddick sets off only to be left for dead on a desolate planet by Captain Krone. Upon suffering many injuries including a broken leg, Riddick fights for his survival against hostile alien predators and becomes more dangerous than ever. The only way he can escape the planet is by setting off an emergency distress beacon to alert bounty hunters and mercenaries around the galaxy and take one of their ships. The first ship to respond carries a lethal group of bounty hunters while the second ship carries mercenaries who the leader's reason for wanting Riddick is more personal. The 11 mercenaries soon realize they are fighting for their lives as they face Riddick's fury and vengance.
Upon watching the movie i would rate it a 3 out of 5 stars. While the plot is easily understood within the first 5 minutes of the film, the film stays true to the plot of the previous films and continues Riddick's quest to go back to his home planet. There is also plenty of action to make this film a classic bad-ass Riddick.
The movie is rated R, and for good reasons. In the beginning of the film there is a scene where near full frontal female nudity is shown in Riddick's bed. Along with the excessive use of swearing and action this film should not be watched by young eyes.
Overall I would highly recommend this film for Riddick fans.
I think I'm supposed to comment on one of these.. so, here is my comment. I have always been a big fan of the Riddick movies and was very excited to learn that this movies will now be coming out to continue the Riddick story line. Although i have not yet seen this movie i am highly anticipating when i get the chance to see the movie for myself!
